Abyss: the rarest answer game

A diving rabbit explores blue water with bubbles and small sea creatures in Wonderhop Abyss mode.
Abyss A less obvious answer takes you deeper.

02 / Abyss · The rare answer game

Go beyond the obvious.

Abyss turns the challenge around. The rarest accepted answer earns the most points, so your second or third idea may be more useful than your first. You get 40 seconds to search your memory for something less familiar.

It still needs to fit the category. An unusual answer only helps when it belongs in the question’s answer bank. Find the right surprise and follow your rabbit deeper underwater.

How Abyss rewards a rare answer

Abyss gives 100 points to the answer with the lowest percentage in the question’s answer bank. Other accepted answers receive 80, 60, 30 or 10 points. Rarity is measured within this curated bank; the percentages are illustrative, not live survey results.

A sample round

For the sample prompt “Name something you see at a birthday party”, confetti has the lowest listed share, 1.31%, and earns 100 points in Abyss. Cake, at 47.06%, is still accepted but scores fewer points. An answer outside the bank cannot score just because it is unusual.

Seven questions. One daily journey.

You have 40 seconds for each question in Abyss. If your first answer is not recognized, try another while time remains. A skip or an expired timer scores zero. Seven perfect answers make 700 points.

A new daily set begins at midnight UTC. Your nickname and progress stay in this browser. Try another direction to use the same knowledge in a different way.
