03 / Past · The oldest answer game
Think further back.
Which answer came first? Past rewards the earliest date among the answers in each question. Depending on the prompt, that could mean a release year, a founding year, or a birth year.
You submit a name, not a date. Read the wording carefully, then reach for the oldest example you know. Your points take a little time machine through an earlier cityscape.
04 / Future · The newest answer game
Bring your knowledge up to date.
Future rewards the newest answer in the question’s set. Think of the most recent release, the latest founding date, or the youngest person, according to the category you are given.
“Future” is the direction of your journey: the questions compare known dates. Pick the latest answer you can recall and travel towards a neon-lit city.
Choose a name from the right end of the timeline
Past rewards the earliest date among the accepted answers; Future rewards the latest. The best answer earns 100 points and other accepted answers receive 80, 60, 30 or 10. Read which date the prompt asks for: a release, founding or birth year can lead to very different choices.
A sample round
Type the name requested by the category, not a year. For a question about when films were released, Past asks you to think of an early release and Future asks for a recent one. The game compares only the accepted candidates in that question; it does not claim to rank every possible answer.
Seven questions. One daily journey.
Past and Future each give you 30 seconds per question and seven questions per daily game. You can retry an unrecognized name before time runs out. Skips and timeouts score zero; a perfect journey earns 700 points.
A new daily set begins at midnight UTC. Your nickname and progress stay in this browser. Try another direction to use the same knowledge in a different way.
