Follow your curiosity.

A small adventure for curious minds

A daily trivia game.
Four ways to wonder.

Wonderhop is a daily trivia game where the best answer depends on the direction you choose. Think of the most common answer, dig for a rare one, or put your knowledge of dates to the test. Each game has seven questions, a ticking clock, and a pixel-art world that moves with your score.

Pick a direction for a quick break, then return tomorrow for a fresh set of questions. You can play right in your browser, on a phone or a computer, without creating an account.

Your first journey

Seven questions. One direction.

  1. Choose how to think

Sky rewards common answers. Abyss rewards rare ones. Past looks for the oldest answer; Future looks for the newest.

  2. Type your answer

Read the prompt and submit before time runs out. You have 30 seconds per question, or 40 seconds in Abyss. Stuck? You can skip.

  3. See where it takes you

Review your answer, earn up to 100 points, and watch the world move. A perfect seven-question game adds up to 700 points.

Find your direction

Same curiosity. Different instincts.

Each mode asks you to look at what you know from a different angle.

Sky Every good answer lifts you higher.

01 / Sky · The common answer game

Trust your first instinct.

Some questions have an answer that almost everyone thinks of first. Sky asks you to find it. Choose the most common answer in the question’s answer bank to earn the highest score and send your balloon further into the clouds.

The trick is to think broadly: a familiar name may take you higher than an obscure fact. Start here if you enjoy quick associations and everyday knowledge.

A diving rabbit explores blue water with bubbles and small sea creatures in Wonderhop Abyss mode.
Abyss A less obvious answer takes you deeper.

02 / Abyss · The rare answer game

Go beyond the obvious.

Abyss turns the challenge around. The rarest accepted answer earns the most points, so your second or third idea may be more useful than your first. You get 40 seconds to search your memory for something less familiar.

It still needs to fit the category. An unusual answer only helps when it belongs in the question’s answer bank. Find the right surprise and follow your rabbit deeper underwater.

Past Follow the timeline back to earlier years.

03 / Past · The oldest answer game

Think further back.

Which answer came first? Past rewards the earliest date among the answers in each question. Depending on the prompt, that could mean a release year, a founding year, or a birth year.

You submit a name, not a date. Read the wording carefully, then reach for the oldest example you know. Your points take a little time machine through an earlier cityscape.

Future Look for the latest stop on the timeline.

04 / Future · The newest answer game

Bring your knowledge up to date.

Future rewards the newest answer in the question’s set. Think of the most recent release, the latest founding date, or the youngest person, according to the category you are given.

“Future” is the direction of your journey: the questions compare known dates. Pick the latest answer you can recall and travel towards a neon-lit city.

Where the idea began

From a rare answer
to a new direction.

Wonderhop grew out of the Krillion style of play: answer a category with something correct that few people would think of. That rare-answer challenge is the starting point for Abyss, where going beyond the obvious takes you deeper.

Wonderhop expands that idea into four directions. Sky reverses the aim and rewards the common answer. Past and Future shift the question from how familiar an answer is to when it belongs on a timeline.

The result is a daily trivia adventure built around one small change of perspective. The same knowledge can take you somewhere different when the question asks you to think in a different way.

A little further, every day

Make room for a small discovery.

Try one direction over a break or play all four to test different sides of your knowledge. After a game, review the answers and share your score as text or an image. Answers stay hidden in the share image unless you choose to reveal them.

Beyond today’s questions

Unlimited starts another round when you want more practice. The Archive lets you revisit earlier days, and Themed packs focus on a particular subject. These extra modes are included with Hop Pass: US$2.99 per month or US$9.98 once. The four daily games remain free.

Before you hop in

A few useful answers.

When do the daily questions change?

A new daily set begins at midnight UTC. Each direction has its own seven questions, and players using the same edition get the same set for that date. If you finish a direction, you can revisit its results.

How are common and rare answers scored?

Sky and Abyss use a curated answer bank with fixed, illustrative percentages. These are not live survey results. Sky gives the highest score to the most common answer in that bank; Abyss rewards the rarest. Other accepted answers earn fewer points.

How do Past and Future compare answers?

They compare the dates attached to the answers in each question. Past rewards the earliest date; Future rewards the latest. Follow the prompt’s definition of the date, such as when a film was released or a company was founded.

What happens if my answer is not accepted?

If an answer is missing from the current bank, you can try another while the timer keeps running. A skipped question or an expired timer earns zero points. The answer review helps you see the options recognized by the game.

Do I need an account, and where are my scores saved?

No account is needed to play. Your nickname, progress, and records are saved in this browser. They do not automatically transfer to another browser or device, and clearing browser data can remove them.

Can I play Wonderhop on my phone?

Yes. Open the game in your mobile browser, pick a direction, and type your answers with the on-screen keyboard. You can also play on a computer. No app download is required.
